Sadly, not much seems to have changed! The Sisters are still waiting for the WA AIDS Council to transform from being, a Secret Society with no Democratically elected Positive Rep Position on the Board, into a transparent and accountable agency that meaningfully includes positive people in decision making processes and allows the positive community to vote for a Representative on the Board.

The Order of Perpetual Indulgence of the Great Southern Land was consecrated in 2006 by The Most Blessed Vexatious Mother Abbess Gretta Amyletta of the Holy Vapours of the Abbey of the Black Swan: OPI Perth House in 2006.

The OPI first manifested in San Francisco on Easter Sunday, 1979. The OPI arrival in Australia occurred with the consecration of Sydney House in 1981. The OPI was brought to Western Australia by Mother Mary Penis Envy who founded the Abbey of the Black Swan in 1990. 

The Sisters, Brothers, Guards and the Members of our Gathered Faithful devote ourselves to community service, ministry and outreach to those on the edges, and to promoting human rights, respect for diversity, spiritual enlightenment, carrying out safer sex education to prevent AIDS infections and advocating and supporting HIV+ people.
